Hey there.
Looking for a trustworthy site that makes custom sabers. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the compliment, Anakin! Unfortunately, though, I've had far too much trouble with saber electronics lately. Especially the Nano Biscotte sound board I've been favoring has not turned out as great as I expected and it has had surprisingly lot of programming or component (SD card, etc.) issues. I've been rather swamped with troubleshooting the NB alone and finding spare time to tinker with electronics is not the easiest aspect for me in the first place. Plus one saber I sent to UK some time ago was apparently lost in the mail, so it's not been a great saber year so far for me! Thus, I'm not comfortable with offering complete saber help from now on and I will be focusing on empty hilts in the future. I can, however, recommend some commercial sabersmiths and make a brief link list if that's okay by forum or RL rules? Cheers MTFBWY

All right, here's some of my picks! Not in particular order and I've tried to gather here some saber suppliers who have humane prices and their fabrication times aren't ridiculous. IndustrialAction Customswww.facebook.com/IndustrialActionCustomswww.youtube.com/IndustrialAction-Focused in blades, but offers complete sabers as well. Stationed in US, but he's very reasonable fellow and can work things our for postages as well. Build logs occasionally long. Works closely with other saber builders in the community, so if he doesn't have what you need, he can source it elsewhere. Lord Bane Custom Saberslbcustomsabers.com/-Maker of budget to mid-range sabers, usually reasonable build log (=shorter build times) too. He sources hilts elsewhere, so if you're looking for specific model it may take some extra time to get one. But worth asking anyway. JQ Saberswww.jqsabers.com/-Largest European (in UK) custom saber shop. Being in UK, their prices are a bit upbeat but Susan & Daren are hands down THE nicest folks in the business and they're ready to help in your saber need the best they can. Plus since they're in Europe, shipping is reasonable and you don't have to hassle with customs office. Makoto Tsaiblog.yam.com/marikoswork/www.youtube.com/user/makototsai-Makoto builds speciality LED strip blades (when most custom sabers in the market have "flashlight" blades), which are SUPER bright! He's nice fellow, but his English is horrible so I'd recommend taking time to study his saber terminology, so you can keep the communication short and clear. Considering the blade performance, his prices are more than reasonable. The sound effect quality in his system is not great, but acceptable. He also does not offer specific hilts (he offers few variations of his own design and you don't have much power over that), so if you're looking for character associated replica, you may need to source the hilt elsewhere and then send it to Makoto for install. SaberForgewww.saberforge.com/-Now, this is a wild card pick, since I know SF has a bit of bad rap in the community*. However, he's been cleaning his act A LOT during past couple of years, he frequents the same custom saber forum I do and he's occasionally working in collaboration with other saber builders too. I'd say Phil at SF was originally just "a bit" disorganized young bloke, but now he has learned more about business and customer service. SF offers very nice sabers at budget prices and he's been involved with several innovations in custom sabering tech. I hope these help! I have also dealt with several other sabersmiths in the past, but right now I'd pick one of these I linked above. * A word of warning is necessary here: custom sabering community has been awfully quarrelsome for past few years and thus it's a bit hard to tell what's actual truth behind all the badmouthing, and what's just effective counter marketing.

Dont know if anyone has seen this yet sabershop.com/ its a nice hilt to have hanging if nothing elese. That Novus is really cool hilt, too bad it's not conversion ready. AFAIK the Sabershop guy is also behind Ryan vs. Dorkman dueling videos in Youtube.

Just in case someone still reads this forum, there's also a new saber store in Europe! Force Relicswww.forcerelics.com/-Home in Belgium, which means less hassle with customs office, no additional taxes and shipping inside Europe is actually humane. These guys are just opening the store, but can already offer lots of stuff. They favor 3D printed parts in some of their sabers, being close to ShapeWays. Some of you may have seen their "Gungi" hilts in the forums.

Dont forget The custom saber shop (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com)and Ultra sabers (http://www.ultrasabers.com. The first one is best for custom builds.
